It's a strange thing when you find out about the passing of someone you've only known online. I knew Susan pre-cancer, we were both pregnant around the same time with out sons. She was a science geek, me a tech geek. Never met in person, but doesn't make it hurt any less.

I'm sorry to hear this, +Lynette Young. Unfortunately, I've had this experience several times. It is amazing to see the depth of a connection we can develop with someone without having ever met face to face. Forming authentic connections is special and a gift whether they happen online or off.

I saw a post about her earlier but I did not know who she was. I just read a bit of her blog. She sounds like a wonderful person and I know her family will miss her as will her friends.

I, too, am sorry to read of her death. I've had this experience also. Yes, it is truly amazing what connections we can develop without having ever met face to face. I've got several online friends that are like family.

I've known several people in my lifetime that have passed on to the other side, and those were personal experiences….I am also close to several people that I've met online, and worry about them when I know they have health and or personal problems like I would if they were here in my neck of the woods or down the street. I sympathize with you and her family, and wish you and them peace and comfort in your sorrow.
The value of a life is so great, it cannot be quantified……..but the loss of it WILL be felt. Bless You Susan.
